Family Ties Ensnared Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman, Most Wanted Drug Lord

The key to capturing one of the world's most wanted men may have been the thing he held dearest: his family. What a farce! Saying this man is responsible for 'millions of ravaged lives' are a complete and utter hypocrisy. That's like saying drugs cause addiction when fact is, most people who use drugs -even narcotics, will never become addicts. Most people can be given morphine in a hospital, even if they get physically addicted, they are detoxed, and will not become drug addicts once they leave the hospital. Addiction has roots and causes, almost invariably tied to early childhood trauma. Prohibition is the problem. Outdated drug policies based on outdated mores and knowledge. All drugs should be under the domain of the medical community, period.
I think I agree with The idea that outlawing something will somehow keep people from doing it is a fantasy and has been shown time and time again not to work. Outlawing something that is highly sought after only creates an area where crime will thrive. These narcotics that on the street have the value of pure gold, actually only cost pennies to manufacture! It is the prohibition that drives up the price, and drives the crime. It is now estimated that roughly one trillion dollars in illicit drug proceeds worm their way into the coffers of the international banking houses annually. Ever major bank has faced charges of drug laundering yet not one banker has been imprisoned. The bank simply pays a fine and business goes on as usual. But they want to blame drug dealers. It is not the dealers that make and maintain these flawed policies. It is an absurd hypocrisy to tell people from communities where there are no jobs that they should not work for the only paying job they can get. We have 25% of world prison population here in the 'land of the free' despite the fact that we only have 5% of the global population. We have millions of non-violent drug offenders in prisons, housed by public corporations whose stock values rise and fall with the numbers of prisoners they are keeping. Things are the way they are because they serve the status quo. Wall St is in love with its illicit trillions. And greed knows no bounds.

Sochi Slopes Claim Another Olympic Victim

The slopes of Sochi have claimed another Olympian, fanning fears that the downhill courses are just too dangerous. American moguls skier Heidi Kloser is the latest athlete to pull out of the Games after fracturing her femur and tearing her ACL during a warm-up run Thursday. Unfortunately she had a bad crash in training before qualifying and injured her knee, the 21-year-old Colorado native. She says thank you everyone for all of your support. Kloser's crash came two days after American snowboard star Shaun White dropped out of the slope style competition after deeming the course too intimidating. After much deliberation with my team, she have made the decision to focus solely on trying to bring home the third straight gold medal in half pipe for Team USA, White. Finnish snowboarder Marika Enn was carried off the slope style course in a stretcher after a crash landing Tuesday during training, and men's slope style favorite Torstein Horgmo of Norway broke his collarbone Monday. The finals for slope style snow boarding and moguls are this weekend.
I agree with the reports about heard the snow conditions at Sochi are far from ideal because of atypically warm winter conditions, and even spectator accommodations are subpar, indicating a lack of adequate funding for the games. Even assuming that they were able to construct quality competition areas in the first place, conditions of slopes can change because of thaw/freeze cycles and make them more dangerous than intended or advisable. When it comes down to Shaun White saying something about his profession and big Jim saying the opposite, I agree to be in his side with White any day. And when professionals who have trained for "years and years" are crashing on a course my opinion is that the issue is not with the athletes. I hope she will available for final game.

Putin: 'Can't Feel Weak' in the Face of Terror Threats to Sochi Olympics

Russian President Putin viewed his government will do whatever it takes to safe from terror attack during next month's winter Olympics in Sochi. He said that we should be strong, take fear to be seen, by doing that they will back those terrorists in achieving their goal. He said the job of host is to give security for the participants in Olympic and visitor to this sports festival. We will do whatever it takes. Putin suggest that we will make sure that security measures will not do by face. And also did not put pressure in athletes and visitors. At the same time he said we will do everything within our power make to sure those measures will be clear. Putin said in interview would on Friday more air on special edition will be held on Sunday this week. He made clear that there will be no party on Olympic. The security plan for Sochi Olympics is heavy. Putin clear that in Sochi ahead of Olympic alias around 40,000 forces are displayed with different terms of checking post gate and also set up electronic observation system. Putin declares that Olympic is not his personal pet project. It is the gain for our state people not for me. Putin advises about moral dimension to it by sharing his mood with Russian people. He said openly it is not time to be mad or unhappy by here. We have to cheer it up. We need to understand and feel that we are capable off large-scale project and do on schedule with high quality. Lastly, when asked about gay he clarified that law not being gay. It describe as homosexual around unimportant.
I m completely agree with Putin. The way that terrorist threatened just to be aware of thing but not as they thing it is easy to attract in Sochi. Putin is right, politics need to be left out of the Olympics. These Athletes have worked hard and deserve their special days. The media is responsible for plugging their agendas instead of thinking of the athletes. Look at in the interview; the media can't say one thing positive. The media will pit athletes, communities, or countries against each other just for a reaction. Stephanopoulos is pathetic trying to set up Putin with his immature questions. Russia has done everything to assure safety and for the media to keep jabbing and attacking their security is void. If the Olympics were held in America we would be defending our security system to the max. no individual or group will stop the Olympics.
